Project:
Expanding the Canon: Bolivian Musical Heritage and Composers’ Database
Co-PI: Kellie Lanham-Friedman
The Bolivian Musical Heritage Database aims to to create a repository of music and musicians as a research tool to help students, teachers, professionals, presenters, and all musicians across the globe find music, composers, and performers for the music intended for a concert stage of composers of Bolivian heritage. As a part of the vision, it is hoped that through this site, anyone with internet access would be able to access scores, recordings, and programmatic information about the composers and musicians of Bolivian Heritage. I also hope to encourage research, exploration, and performance of past and current works from composers of Bolivian Heritage and to provide broader repertoire choices on stages across the world.
