I am a recent graduate from CSUF. I got my master’s degree in history this past December and am excited to be selected as a fellow! My MA project, “Digitizing Historic Wintersburg” invites ongoing investigation into the ways in which digital heritage preservation can serve to bridge differences and promote solidarity within contemporary communities. I completed phase one of this project as part of my MA experience in Fall 2022, and now I’m in the process of expanding my research to encompass a broader representation of the Japanese American pioneer community of Orange County. I would also like to continue research on developing methods to advance the promotion of meaningful connections to a shared historically endangered space within a diverse community through the creation of digital heritage preservation projects.
