I want to become a University Professor and teach younger generations the true history of humanity and to inspire them to stand up for minorities everywhere. My master’s thesis will focus on the Chicana Health Movement and how Chicana’s protected their community and fought for their health rights through promoting community safety organizations, establishing equitable health care programs, and campaigning for reproductive rights. In confronting the poverty health disparities, and lack of safety in their communities, Chicanas saw that their communities were targets of intentional neglect (genocide). Chicanas realized that income and wealth were linked to health and race.
