I am from the neighborhood of Rubidoux in the city of Jurupa Valley, California. I earned my B.A. in History and Spanish Linguistics at the University of California, Riverside in 2020. I am currently pursuing an M.A. in History with concentrations in Chicana/o Studies and Public History at California State University Fullerton. Currently, I am a GA for Dr. Monica Hanna in the Chicana/o Studies department, developing a Latinx Literary Journalism Database. I also serve as a TA for Dr. Alexandro Gradilla’s CHIC 303 Chicano/Mexican Cultures and 340 Chicano/Mexican Intellectual Thought. My Oral History project focuses on the historical development of warehousing in the Inland Empire, centering the experiences of warehouse workers during the COVID-19 lockdowns/BLM demonstrations. As a member of the community and the labor force within these warehouses, I am committed to working with workers and community members through a collective praxis of social justice oral history.
